A young girl called Princess Gie Gie lives with her family in a small village in Burkina Faso, where girls and their mothers must walk for miles each day to bring water back to their homes to be boiled for drinking and washing. For now, Princess Gie Gie wears a clay pot as her crown rather than a bejeweled tiara, but she dreams that someday her village will have clean water of its own.
